Organic Facial Care, Have You Considered A Skin Care Routine?

Have you considered a skin care routine, if not, you should? Do you find yourself falling asleep without removing your makeup and/or the dirt and grime of the day? Some might not realize how harmful this can be to ones skin, but we want you to know that it's definitely an issue. Our skin is one of the body's largest organs and it works to protect us from toxins. So please note the importance of taking care of one's skin, as well as the need for a skin care routine ensuring success for this process of protecting to take place.

I believe you’ve heard the buzz about normal, oily, dry, combination, or sensitive skin types. One should consider what is their skin type, but not that It can change over time. For example, younger people are more likely than older folks to have a normal skin type. Now keep in mind that all skin types are not equal; and just because someone else skin looks great and they've indicated doing nothing to achieve it doesn't mean that will be the case for you. Most people need to take care of their skin (all individuals will need to at some point in the lives). I believe it's important to be proactive in all that we do. If your skin is lovely now, one should take preventive care to ensure it stays that way. So we say to you, yes skin routines are very important and the ingredients you use are equally important.

Below is a Simple Routine using our products for maintaining good skin regardless of a busy schedule: You really don’t need any complicated routine and if your skin requires a bit more due to the signs of aging or you want to minimize aging too quickly, be sure to do the following at night. Clean, Tone and place on a great night serum, the body and skin restores itself during the night while you sleep. Note: I don't believe in too much exfoliation, if you are trying to preserve youthful looking skin, too much pulling and tugging could be damaging especially for aging skin. and using a mask should not be a part of your daily or night routine and it you must exfoliate, you can do so with your Dead Sea mud mask prior to rinsing it off. Please note that using a mask is helpful if you have dry, aging or acne prone skin. We are reformulating our mask, stay tuned for when it appears back in the cart and on the retail shelves. Until this happens, please add a bit of deactivated charcoal to our helichrysum treatment oil with a bit of very fine coconut sugar (make sure that the sugar is very fine, not too thick, we want to ensure less stress on the skin). For those of you who are missing our Dead Sea Mask,  we realize our suggestion here is not a substitute for our Dead Sea Mud (what is!), we see it as a decent way to remove the dead skin and keep your skin looking good until our Mud makes a return.

Final Tips: Nothing comes without effort, one must take the time to eat and exercise to stay fit. One must practice some form of meditation and relaxation to combat against stress. One must practice mindfulness to keep negativity at a distance. These simple principles and practices are relative to taking care of your skin. Mind, Body and Spirit is a life long process and a wonderful way to practice self love (it all starts within one's self).

No matter what type of skin you have, these tips will keep it looking its best.

  1. Use a broad spectrum sunscreen that blocks both UVA and UVB rays and be sure to purchase with clean ingredients.
  2. Avoid direct sunlight, and wear a hat and sunglasses.
  3. Please do not smoke.
  4. Stay hydrated, drink plenty of water
  5. Wash your skin gently but thoroughly every day and never wear makeup to bed.
